MY FAVOURITES

BOARDWALK EMPIRE

This is one of my favourite shows ever! Boardwalk Empire is a period drama focusing on Enoch "Nucky" Thompson (based on the historical Enoch L. Johnson) a political figure who rose to prominence and controlled Atlantic City, New Jersey, during the Prohibiton period of the 1920s and 1930s. Nucky interacts with several historical figures in both his personal and political life, including mobsters, politicians, government agents, and the common folk who look up to him. The federal government also takes an interest in the bootlegging and other illegal activities in the area, sending agents to investigate possible mob connections.

The authentic feel to this show is embraced by the sharp characters and the entriguing plot as it pulls upon a number of historical references and people. The show's abilitiy to explore in to the past while keeping me entertained has hooked me in to learning more of the mob and these men who lived double lives as politicians and gangsters. The wise characters in this show are of great influence to me because of their intelligence and finesse when dealing with highly dangerous and sensitive situations. Also who doesn't love the clever way that these wise men speak! There is always some sort of wisdom to learn from this wonderful show and lots about the prohibiton era's history as well. I recommend this show to everyone!

To be fearless was one of his greatest assets along with his mind, and he is a great example of how to live your life without regrets and fear.

This animal is my favorite among all. It is majestic and elegant yet ferocious and dominant. An all-around perfect animal. The Chinese Zodiac believes"Born leader" is the key word for tigers. They are always in lead and noble and fearless. Tigers are respected for their courage even from those working against them.
